Abstract

ABSTRACT

One of the procedures that a technician must carry out before operating a diesel engine is to check the amount of fuel. Inspection of the amount of fuel followed by filling is to maintain the condition of the fuel in the daily tank that is always ready for operation, so that when the diesel engine is running it does not run out of fuel. The purpose of the design made is that the condition of the fuel in the daily tank is always ready for operation. The design of refueling the daily tank generator automatically uses an ultrasonic sensor as an indicator of the volume of fuel on the daily tank. So that in the future, in the process of refueling in the daily tank, ultrasonic sensors will be taken over and distributed to Arduino Uno in prototype form. Then the microcontroller will give a signal to the relay to operate the pump.

In this research plan, the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) method is used. The design of refueling the generator automatically from the ground tank to the daily tank at Gusti Sjamsir Alam Airport, is a design that combines inspection and refueling manually and requires a relatively long time into one integrated and automatic system. The results of the research are the design of the tool, it will improve the performance of technicians. Daily tanks will be filled automatically without having to turn the lever manually.
