Abstract

The Safety Management System implemented in the Aircraft Maintenance Technology Study Program has not yet reached the maximum level as written in the Safety Management System manual for Aircraft Maintenance Technology. There are deficiencies, especially in Safety Risk Management, which functions to identify hazards and manage risks in the organization. The research aims to identify the potential and level of danger that could arise in practical activities at Workshop B using the HIRA (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment) method. Data was obtained from direct observation at Workshop B and filling out questionnaires with all related parties. The results of observations and questionnaires were analyzed based on the risk matrix to determine the risk level. A total of 15 hazard identification results were obtained in all rooms in Workshop B which had a moderate risk level (Tolerable). The highest level of risk is 5D with the danger of taking tools from the tool box in a hurry, while the lowest is 2B with 3 hazards, all of which are in the Sheet Metal Shop room.
