As an Approved Maintenance Training Organization (AMTO) or training organization in the field of aircraft maintenance, AMTO 147D-13 is required to create, implement, evaluate and continuously improve a Safety Management System. However, the implementation of SMS Manual AMTO 147D-13 has not been implemented optimally, there are still shortcomings such as in the risk management system. From this, there are still dangerous risks that have not been evaluated and preventive measures taken. This research was conducted with the aim of evaluating the application of safety risk management to conditions, practical activities or objects carried out in the AMTO 147D-13 laboratory. This research uses the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment & Mitigation (HIRAM) method. Starting from obtaining data from observations and literature studies, then carrying out hazard identification, risk assessment and mitigation. The research results found 20 hazards with a tolerable risk level in the AMTO 147D-13 laboratory, including seven hazards in the aircraft hydraulic systems laboratory, five hazards in the aircraft electrical systems laboratory, five hazards in aircraft electronics and three hazards in the aircraft instruments laboratory. The recommended mitigation plan for controlling this risk is procurement of facility support equipment, creation of procedures, and maintenance and upkeep of facilities. With the mitigation plan created, the risk level can be reduced to the acceptable category.
