Carrying out aircraft maintenance activities, an aircraft technician must have sufficient competence in terms of knowledge and skills. The use of augmented reality in practical activities aims to correlate practical activities expressed in virtual form in augmented reality applications. With augmented reality technology, it is hoped that it can increase cadets' knowledge and skills which can be applied during practice and in the world of work. This research aims to design an augmented reality application that can be used as a learning medium. The method used in this research is the waterfall research method. The product developed is an application for the Cessna 152 engine removal and installation procedure. The data analysis technique used is using black box testing and usability testing methods. This research produces an augmented reality application for the Cessna 152 landing gear removal and installation procedure. The research results show that it is suitable the buttons on the application have worked well. Apart from that, based on usability testing, this application was declared "Very Suitable" for use with a percentage value obtained of 97.7%. In improving learning outcomes, it is known that there has been an increase in the average score of the pre-test and post-test. The average pre-test score was 49.5 and the average post-test score was 87.0. These results prove that this application can effectively improve cadet learning outcomes.
