Abstract

Air quality plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy and comfortable indoor environment, therefore continuous monitoring is necessary to prevent potential health risks caused by poor air conditions. This research proposes an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air quality control and monitoring system that presents environmental information through a visually intuitive web interface designed in a weather-style display rather than a conventional technical dashboard, making the information easier to understand for general users. The system employs an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with environmental sensors to measure air quality levels, temperature, and humidity in real time. Sensor data are transmitted via an internet connection to a web application where the environmental conditions are displayed in a simple and informative visual format, including clear air quality status indicators such as safe and dangerous levels. In addition to web-based monitoring, the system incorporates an automated alert mechanism using a Telegram bot that sends instant notifications when the measured air quality exceeds predefined safety thresholds. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system operates reliably in real time, provides accurate environmental information, and effectively delivers early warnings without requiring continuous user interaction with the web interface. This approach offers a user-friendly, low-cost, and scalable solution for real-time indoor air quality monitoring and quality control using IoT technology.
